SIS Technology operation performs a selective extraction of cold air in a clean way, not causing any negative impact on the environment (protected crop, soil, water resources, atmosphere) of the orchard´s ecosystem (including neighbor populations and SIS operators). Noise pollution is extremely mimimal.

Frost Protection Corporation, with its main product, the SIS System, was named a 2004 Tech Museum Awards Laureate in the Environment category, in California, USA.  The Tech Museum Awards are of most international relevance, they are sponsored by United Nations University (UNU), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and leaders businesses and institutions from Silicon Valley, namely Applied Material Inc. and the Santa Clara University’s Center for Science, Technology, and Society. Category sponsors include Intel, Accenture, Microsoft, and Agilent. Of the 580 nominations from 80 countries, only 25 Laureates have been selected to be honoured.  Frost Protection Corporation has been named a Laureate for the Intel Environment Award.
